Your Hosts:

David and John had long dreamed of owning and running their own bed and breakfast/inn and knew that Provincetown was exactly where it had to be. In the winter of 2020 they saw that the Admiral’s Landing had come on the market and knew instantly it was the perfect inn for them to start the next chapter in their lives. David has a long history of working in the hospitality industry in Provincetown and John got a taste of it as a young man in London and Bar Harbor, Maine.

John Hatch
John grew up in Ireland and graduated with his veterinary degree from University College of Dublin. He initially worked as a veterinarian in Northern Ireland and England before emigrating to Cape Cod, Labor Day weekend of 1993 on a so-called “lottery visa”.

John lived and worked on Cape Cod for 5 years working primarily with dogs and cats but he was also involved with the Marine Mammal Rescue Network where under the direction of the New England Aquarium he attended to stranded dolphins and whales. In 1998 John moved to the NYC/NJ area and ended up owning and running his own veterinary practice for 15 years. He however kept his cottage on the Cape so he could escape back here on his weekends off . While John continues to practice veterinary medicine a few days a week, he remains truly in love with Cape Cod and thus drives up weekly to test David’s latest cookie recipes and chat with the Admiral’s diverse group of guests.

In his spare time John loves movies, books, gardening, and going for beach walks with his Jack Russell, Ruby.

David Yates
David grew up in Atlanta Georgia and graduated from Georgia Tech with a Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting. He worked in finance in Manhattan after graduating but upon the first opportunity he was given, he escaped to Provincetown to start his career in hospitality.
David has worked several roles in the Provincetown hospitality industry for the last 6 years, most recently running a lovely inn as the general manager.

In the off chance David isn’t baking, cooking, checking in guests, or relaxing on the Pearl St. patio, he is likely shamelessly geeking out over all things nerdy : Star Wars, Marvel, Science Fiction novels, Modern Technology, and Video Games.

A plate of some of our breakfast selections, such as our Admiral’s Cup, Cranberry Almond Cake and some fresh fruit.

Breakfast:

We are currently offering breakfast delivered to your room daily to remain covid-19 compliant. You will receive a homecooked baked good of the day, with added continental options including yogurt, granola, cereals, and hardboiled eggs. We hope to resume communal breakfast as soon as we are able during the 2021 season.

Our patio is on the Pearl Street side of the house, where you can enjoy the ever-changing perennial garden — a great place to read a book or just people watch. Behind the main house, we have a private courtyard with a conversation area (coming soon). A great way to unwind at the end of the day.
