From December 30th-January 3rd, Provincetown will be abuzz with activity. First Light Provincetown is set to make a splash this year. You’ll find a sparkling event calendar filled with popular entertainment, special theme dance parties, lively community competitions and a weekend fireworks show you don’t want to miss.

Fantastic New Year’s Eve Dining

All weekend long, you can enjoy fantastic meals at the local restaurants in Provincetown. But, on New Year’s Eve, you’ll be treated to something a little extra special. Many of Provincetown’s best restaurants will offer prix fixe menus on New Year’s Eve. These great options will offer you a delicious, festive, and unique dining experience. At 2.pm., participants gather on Johnson Street before stripping down to their swimsuits and making the mad dash into the Provincetown Harbor. After splashing around in the cold water, the fun moves inside. Visitors gather to dry off and warm up with cocktails and chili at the Harbor Lounge before hitting the town for a night of parties and events.

First Light Fireworks Show

It wouldn’t be New Year’s without a fireworks show, and for the first time in more than a decade, you’ll find one in Provincetown. Thanks to Provincetown First Light, the skies above Cape Cod Bay will shimmer and sparkle as they light up with a fireworks show. When you visit Provincetown for New Year’s, make plans to go to MacMillan Pier on January 2 for the show.
